Hey love! In today's blog, we're going to talk about how to just get started. My name is Stephanie Rodnez, founder and CEO of Godlywood Girl, and my purpose in life is to help you achieve yours. My goal for GodlywoodGirl.com is for it to be the number 1 resource for every woman of faith who wants to live her greatest purpose for Christ.

My love this is your time, this is your moment. If you're waiting for somebody to give you permission to go after that dream, this is your permission. You can do this. You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength. The Lord will abundantly supply all your needs. You have everything you need within you right now to get started and make this goal happen. So don't waste any more time, take action right now and just get started.
So that’s it for this fourth episode in my brand new Godlywood Girl Christian Motivational Speakers Series. Comment below and let me know what you'll get started on today.

Hey sis,
It's Stephanie Rodnez here, founder and CEO of Godlywood Girl and creator of the Godlywood Girl School Of Purpose, and my purpose in life is literally to help you achieve yours. So I'm super excited to recommend to you my five favorite books that will help any woman of Christ find what God put her on this earth to do. Grab your pen and paper because we are about to dive into my five favorite "find your purpose books" that'll help you get unstuck, stop feeling frustrated and start living God's greatest purpose for your life.
Book number one is the Purpose Driven Life. Now if you haven't yet heard of The Purpose Driven Life, I'm honestly a little bit shocked because there was a huge movement just a few years ago when this book was published because of the way it went through churches like a firestorm. It's such an amazing book that teaches you how to find God's purpose for your life through a 40-day devotional.
The Purpose Driven Life is written by Pastor Rick Warren and he's the pastor of Saddleback Church, this huge megachurch in the United States. He wrote the book and released it with Church pastors all around the world who then took the book to their congregants so that everybody could figure out what exactly God purposed them to do.
What's so unique about this book is that it's written through a daily devotional format that takes you through 40 day's worth of Scripture, experts, prompts and practical advice. It gives you a thorough understanding of your calling. This book to date has sold about thirty million copies, so it's definitely a must read if you want to find your purpose.
The second find your purpose book I recommend is T.D. Jakes, Destiny: Step into Your Purpose. This book is incredible and it's literally T.D. jakes how-to guide for understanding what God purposed you to do on this earth, which unleashes your destiny.
One of my favorite quotes in the book is this;
"God has invested a great deal in you and for all the Creator has put in you, there's only one thing God wants to know. What will you do with what I gave you? God expects you to work excellence at the level given to you."
My love, this book is a game-changer for any daughter of Christ who truly wants to unleash her destiny on this earth. It'll give you amazing, amazing tools and resources to dive into Scripture and figure out what God created you to do.
My third recommendation for my favorite "find your purpose book" is actually a book I wrote called The War of Purpose. What's really funny is usually as an author, when you write a book you kind of don't want to read the book again because you're like, "Eh, I spent so much time writing that book and researching for that book and I'm kind of over it."
But not for The War Of Purpose. I read my own book once every three to four months to remind myself to keep fighting for the purpose God gave me and I fight the war that He has put me here to live. The War of Purpose book tells you my story of how I found God's purpose for my life and started living it full-time, and also teaches you step-by-step how to do it for yourself.
I have a workbook, I have questionnaires for you. I have video follow-up for you and I even have an audiobook version so you can take action on the steps you're learning. The War of Purpose is honestly one of the best resources out here to help women of faith get unstuck, stop feeling frustrated and start living God's greatest purpose for their lives. So to get your copy, click here.
My fourth favorite "find your purpose book" that I recommend is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. This book was released in 1988 but it didn't really gain momentum until Oprah recommended it in her book club and all of a sudden, millions started reading it and it's been translated into so many different languages.
The reason why I love this book is because it's not a direct "this is how you live your purpose" book. It's actually just a giant metaphor for what this journey of purpose actually is.
Paulo Coelho takes us on this journey following a young man as he tries to find out what he's here on earth to do and then actually do it. The obstacles that he faces and the lessons he learns along the way is applicable for us daughters of Christ who want to live our purpose too.
One of my favorite quotes from the book that makes me cry every single time I read it is this:
"Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself and that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams because every second of the search is a second encounter with God and with eternity."
I don't know why that quote always gets me so emotional, but it's really just saying that fighting for your purpose is not going to be easy, and every time that you experience an obstacle, it's still worth it, because being in your purpose means that you're walking the way God gave you to walk.
Sis, being in your purpose connects you to God. This book is so powerful and it's honestly one of the books that changed my life and helped me get back to my God-given purpose when I dealt with failures and setbacks so many years ago. I definitely recommend this book as a must-read.
And finally, my fifth fand favorite "find your purpose book" that I recommend is a book that one of my students in the Godlywood Girl Girl School of Business wrote. Her name is Tahira Gift also known as Tahira Neckles and she wrote a book called Freedom For Today: Practical advice and How to create a Life you Love.
Let me tell you when I tell you this book is a game-changer for the Christian community, it is a game-changer. Because Tahira not only tells you how to find your purpose. She also gives you step-by-step examples of how to take action and create a life that you love.
If you're somebody who knows there's more for you to do on this earth but you're not sure how to do it, Tahira will take you in a biblical way on a journey to uncovering what that is and give you steps to unlocking that, so you can start living it.
Tahira's book is amazing, sis. God has given her some incredible wisdom on how to find your purpose on this earth.
So to recap, my five favorite find your purpose books that I recommend every woman of faith reads if she wants to live her greatest purpose for Christ is:
Now you know my favorite recommendations for a find your purpose book. Hey love! In today's blog, we're going to talk about believing your blessings. My name is Stephanie Rodnez, founder and CEO of Godlywood Girl, and my purpose in life is to help you achieve yours. My goal for GodlywoodGirl.com is for it to be the number 1 resource for every woman of faith who wants to live her greatest purpose for Christ. So, if that's you, let's dive into the secret to believing your blessings.
Step number one is to stop believing what the haters tell you, sis. Your Creator in heaven is the only person who can talk about who you are and what you are going to become.
Don't believe what other people say over your life. I don't care what you did in the past, I don't care what you are going to do the future, I don't even care what you think about yourself.
Don't believe what the haters say. Instead, focus on what God says about you.
Step number two is to find out how God feels about you in His word. One of the worst things we can do as Christians is not understand the blessings and promises God has in store for us simply because we believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
I once heard a pastor describe it as a guy who goes on a cruise and the entire time, he's eating the little homemade sandwiches he brought from home while the other passengers each from the gourmet buffet.
At the end of the cruise, the chef comes over to him and says, "Listen, I've been serving food for the past seven days of this cruise and I've noticed you haven't come to eat anything that I've been serving. Did I do something to offend you? Is there a reason why you don't want to eat my food?"
And the guy's like, "Oh no, it's not that. I just can't afford to go and eat from the buffet. All I had was enough money to pay for the cruise."
Then the chef looks at him and says, "Sir, when you bought your ticket for the cruise, it included all meals for the buffet. You could have been eating here as part of your ticket!"
So the guy is shocked because it's the end of the cruise. He has missed out on the blessing because he never took the time to find out what his ticket included.
And it's the same with us as Christians.
If we don't understand what our blessings are because we serve Christ, we can miss out on them.
Walk into the word of God, read what He says about you and what blessings He has intended for you because you love Him back. And if you want help doing this, make sure you get my book 365 Daily Affirmations For Powerful Women Of Faith that shares the promises God has written in His word about you.
Finally, step number three is to meditate on those blessings every single day. The enemy is not stupid. The enemy knows exactly what he needs to do to keep you from stepping into your purpose for Christ.
All the enemy has to do is distract you a little bit, discourage you a little bit, because that's what's going to keep you from looking towards God and instead start looking at all the things that go wrong in your life.
Don't let that happen. Meditate on the Lord's blessings every single day.
Meditate on the promises He has for you every single day. Say it out loud every single day. I say ten Bible-based affirmations based on the Word of God, so I remind myself of who God made me to be and what I'm destined for because I'm His daughter. Meditate on God's Word and remind yourself of His blessings every single day.
So that’s it for this fourth episode in my brand new Godlywood Girl Christian Motivational Speakers Series. Comment below and let me know what blessing you'll start believing today.

Hey sis,
It's Stephanie Rodnez here, founder and CEO of Godlywood Girl and creator of the Godlywood Girl School Of Purpose, and if you want a life purpose questionnaire, read to the end of this article because I'm going to take you step-by-step through the exact life purpose questionnaire I've used to help over a thousand woman find God's greatest purpose for their lives.
So what's the first step with the life purpose questionnaire? Well, it's understanding what God's purpose for your life actually is. So let's explore the Bible to find out what our true mission is on this earth, the Great Commission.
Matthew 28:19-20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age."
My love, your purpose in this life is to share the gospel of Christ with those who don't know Him yet. But the way that you do it, that's where your passion comes in. Whether God created you to be a lawyer, a doctor, a teacher, a nurse, an entrepreneur, social-media influencer or author, whatever it is God created you to be, that's how He wants you to share the gospel of Christ with others.
And if you're wondering how to find out what your passion is, my life purpose questionnaire below is going to help you identify what that is. So let's get started and dive into the questionnaire.
Your interests don't have to just be what you're good at. Just because you're good at something doesn't mean you're interested in it, and just because you're interested in something doesn't mean you're good at it. In these questions, we want to know what you are both good at and enjoy doing.
I want you to go back through all of your answers and take a look at what keywords keep coming up over and over again. Topics that show up multiple times in multiple responses is a huge indication that this is your life purpose.
When I did this, the things that kept coming up over and over again was writing, content creation, video production, writing, content creation, video production - over and over again. When I put those keywords together, I went to Google and typed in "what career involves video production, writing and content creation?" Guess what one of my top results were?
Yup - social media marketing.
I started diving more into social media and figuring out how to use this platform to be able to share the gospel of Christ with others, and Godlywood Girl was born.
So take a look at those keywords that keep coming up over and over again, go into Google, type in "careers that involve" and insert all the keywords that came up over and over again in your responses.
Take a look at the search results Google provides you and ask the Lord to guide you in the direction He wants you to go. When you discover a career path that really catches your eye, watch YouTube videos about those careers that interest you write and read blog articles about the careers that interest you. If possible, do an internship in the career that interests you the most so you can see if it's the right fit. THAT is how you're going to find out your true purpose.
Now, if you wanted some help taking action and the steps that I just took you through, I've created a free amazing Find Your Purpose Journal that lists all the questions in a PDF download, so you can grab your FREE copy of the journal by going to purposegift.com.
Now you know exactly what you need to do if you ever say to yourself "I don't know my passion," but if you're ready to get unstuck, stop feeling frustrated and start REALLY understanding God's greatest purpose for your life -

Stephanie Rodnez, Author, Filmmaker & Purposeologist
Hey love! In today's blog, we're going to talk about the secret to motivation. My name is Stephanie Rodnez, founder and CEO of Godlywood Girl, and my purpose in life is to help you achieve yours. My goal for GodlywoodGirl.com is for it to be the number 1 resource for every woman of faith who wants to live her greatest purpose for Christ. So, if that's you, let's dive into the secret to motivation.
One of the biggest misconceptions about motivation that I've ever heard is that motivation means you feel like doing something. Nah, sis, that's not what motivation is, okay?
Motivation is just the energy required to make you do something - even if you don't feel like doing it.
It's not "feeling like it," it's not an "emotional" thing.
Motivation is external energy that inspires you to move past resistance and do the work God asked you to do.
If you are constantly waiting for yourself to feel like getting work done, it's never going to happen because what human being on this earth wants to work?
I don't know anybody who wants to work, even me. I absolutely love what I do for a living here at Godlywood Girl. I love doing live streams, I love doing videos, I love writing scripts, I love working on books.
I love it, love it, love it.
But I'm still a human being.
My natural inclination when I wake up in the morning isn't to get up and work. My natural inclination when I get up in the morning is to:
And well - you get the point.
But despite not feeling like working every morning, I still get up and work. I still get up and publish blog articles, write email blasts, schedule YouTube videos, deliver customer support, do product development - each and every day.
How?
What's the secret to motivation?
What's the secret to getting up and doing the work even when you don't feel like it?
The secret to motivation is identifying the energy necessary to move you past the point of resistance so you do the work God created you to do.
For me, that energy is legacy.
I have such a huge vision for what I believe this world can be. I know a lot of people tell me "Stephanie it's too late for the world. There's too much evil in this world for us to ever be able to really change it."
But I don't believe that. I believe that Jesus Christ and His love is so overwhelmingly beautiful that if more people understand who He really is, we can make this world a better place.
My desire to make this world a better place by sharing the love of Christ overwhelmingly supersedes my desire to want to stay in bed and watch Netflix all day. Most days I just have to turn on the news and the devastation I see happening around our world is enough to motivate me to do the work, because for me to do the mission work I want to do in my life, I need to make money with Godlywood Girl so I have enough coins to really get stuff that matters done.
Sis, the secret to motivation is to identify that "thing" that's going to get you out of bed.
For a lot of people, it's the idea their child will be able to go to college without worrying about student loans.
For some other people, it's the idea that their grandchildren will be able to buy their first home without relying on a mortgage.
For some people, it's the idea they'll be able to leave a legacy for their family by building this incredible business that changes lives.
Whatever it is that externally motivates you to get up and push yourself past the feeling of "I don't want to" and instead step into "I'm gonna do it anyway," that is what you need to identify in order to get motivated to make your purpose-driven goals happen.
So that’s it for this third episode in my brand new Godlywood Girl Christian Motivational Speakers Series. Comment below and let me know a goal you've had for a very long time, but you never feel like actually working on it. Let me know below because I bet we have very similar things that we can share in common.
And if you don’t yet know what your God-given purpose is, Sister of Christ, if you're ready to get unstuck, stop feeling frustrated and start REALLY understanding God's greatest purpose for your life -

Ready to find your purpose and passion in life so you can finally start living the life God intended you to live? This article is going to help you do that step by step.

Stephanie Rodnez, Author, Filmmaker & Purposeologist
Hey sis,
It's Stephanie Rodnez here, founder and CEO of Godlywood Girl and creator of the Godlywood Girl School Of Purpose, and in this blog article, I'm going to show you how to find your passion and purpose in life with my formula that I've used to help over a thousand women find God's greatest purpose for their lives.
So if you're ready to live God's greatest purpose for your life, make to grab your pen and paper because I'm about to show you how to find your passion and purpose in life using a formula that shows you how to do this step-by-step.
Step number one is to understand what purpose actually is. A lot of people think that your purpose is just what you're supposed to do on this earth, and I guess that's kind of true. But for Christians, our purpose is specifically to do one thing - and that's the Great Commission.
In Matthew 28:19-20 it says, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you and surely I'm with you always to the very end of the age."
Sister of Christ, as a believer in the Lord your purpose is one thing: to share the gospel of Christ with those who don't know Him yet. That's why I'm able to help so many women find their God-given purpose in less than 5 minutes because all it takes is them opening up their Bible and reading Matthew 28:19-20.
Our purpose as believers in Christ is to share the Gospel of Christ with those who don't know Him yet.
But I know what you're thinking, "Well Stephanie, how am I supposed to tell others about the gospel of Christ?"
"How specifically am I meant to live out His purpose on this earth?"
Well, that's where we get into step number two.
Step number two is to identify the passions God has given you to share the gospel of Christ with. To understand this concept, we've got to dive back into scripture where Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."
Sister of Christ, "in all things" means your passions, your talents, your gifts, your abilities - ALL of it is meant to be used for the Lord's purpose over your life. Dictionary.com describes "passions" as something you are literally compelled to do, any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling you have about something.
So as you work to understand how the Lord wants you to share His gospel with those who don't know Him yet, I must ask you this question:
What are you compelled to do?
The answer to that question is the key to successfully living your purpose on this earth and finding out what you are compelled to do with your life. And this can include MANY things.
For example, as a nurse for 20 years, my mother led more people to Christ than most pastors I know. As a nurse, she would read her Bible, give God praise whenever a patient gave her good news, and openly talk about her faith with whoever asked.
As a result of my mother being so open with her faith, many of her patients would ask her to pray with them during their recovery in the hospital. She would always pray for them, and right afterward ask if they understood who they were praying to.
Sometimes the person would declare "Absolutely! I love Jesus and He is my Lord and Savior!" In those situations, my mom would celebrate that she was able to meet and pray with a fellow sister of Christ. But for those who said "Actually, I'm not sure who I'm praying to. Can you explain Jesus to me?" My mom would share the Gospel of Christ with them. And if they decided to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, my mother would talk them through the sinner's prayer and ALWAYS gave them a Bible to take home.
How amazing is that?
And she was a nurse, a profession most people wouldn't associate with being able to effectively share the Gospel of Christ.
Sister of Christ, to figure out what God put you on this earth to do, to figure out how to find your passion and purpose on this earth, you need to do one thing: figure out what you are compelled to do already, the things that you love doing, the things that you were inspired to do.
In your passion is where your true purpose lives.
And for some people who say to me, "Well Stephanie, I'm compelled to sit on a couch and watch Netflix all day." No sis, that's not the same thing.
Past times are not the same thing as passions.
I have never seen somebody get on Facebook and say, "Oh my gosh, I'm about to sit on my couch and watch 'Netflix all day, ah!" Now you may enjoy sitting on the couch all day watching Netflix, that's fine.
But I'm not talking about what you enjoy doing, I'm talking about what you are compelled to keep doing, that thing that when you get to do it you post on your Facebook, you take selfies while you do it and you're texting everybody that you're doing it.
You can't wait to share with others that you're doing this thing because you love doing it so much.
For me, that's being on a film set. If I'm filming something that day, I'm going to share selfies, behind-the-scenes sneak peaks, Instagram stories and anything else possible because I'm so passionate about video production.
But you know what you'll never see me share on social media, even though I love doing it so much? You'll never see me share a selfie of myself while I'm watching Fraiser on Netflix, and I watch Fraiser on Netflix a lot.
I don't share it because I'm honestly just not compelled to do it.
I love watching Fraiser. It relaxes me and makes me feel really content. But I don't wake up in the morning excited to watch Fraiser all day. I wake up in the morning excited to film content all day.
That is how you differentiate between what you enjoy as a hobby, and what you enjoy as a compulsion.
To make the process easier for you to identify what you're compelled to do, I have a brand new journal for you called the Find Your Purpose journal where I'll walk you through my formula step-by-step. You can grab it for free by going to purposegift.com.
Step number three for how to find your passion and purpose on this earth is to start living your purpose. Once you've discovered how God created you to share the Gospel of Christ, however it is God compelled you to live your purpose on this earth -
Whether it's sharing the gospel through singing, through dancing, through acting, through being a medical research assistant, through getting your Ph.D., to being a police officer, to being a nurse, to being an entrepreneur - whatever it is -
Get started doing it.
Don't let fear and self-doubt get in your way. Don't let constant rethinking get in your way. Take action, get started and LIVE YOUR PURPOSE.
And if you need help figuring out how to start living your purpose, make sure you read my How To Fight For Your Purpose blog article that shows you how to do it by clicking here.
So to recap, the three steps to find your passion and purpose in life so you can start doing what God created you to do on this earth is:

Hey love! In today's article, we're going to talk about how to keep pressing forward. My name is Steph Rodnez, founder and CEO of Godlywood Girl, and my purpose in life is to help you achieve yours. My goal for GodlywoodGirl.com is for it to be the Number 1 resource for every woman of faith who wants to live her greatest purpose for Christ. So, if that's you, let's dive into how to press forward.
Now when we are on our purpose journey, one of the things most of us don't expect to happen, but that happens all the time, is that we will fail. There's no getting around it, sis.
I'm sorry to tell you that this amazing purpose journey comes with a whole lot of failure. Even when you have reached your goal and you're in your purpose, there are still failures that happen, there are still things that go wrong.
No matter how successful we become on our purpose journey, there are still obstacles that come about that are surprising and make you want to quit.
You're going to be tempted to just throw in the towel and say 'I'm done with this, I don't want to do it anymore'.
That's exactly what happened to me when I first left my 9 to 5 job, and about 6 months later I launched a brand new coaching program that completely and totally flopped.
Sis, that program flopped, flopped, flopped.
I lost about $7,000 launching that coaching program. And guess what? I wanted to quit. I was like 'Yo, this is really expensive being a full-time entrepreneur and I don't even have my salary to fall back on anymore.' I was really tempted to just throw in the towel and just quit.
Ironically at the same time when my program flopped, my old job called me and offered me another position at the company that was paying $7,000 more than my salary when I left.
Now THAT is what I call temptation.
I began to question whether or not I was ready to live my purpose as a full-time entrepreneur. I began to question whether I was smart enough to do what it takes to make a living running my own business full-time.
And as a result of this questioning, I was very tempted to walk away from Godlywood Girl and go back to my safety net of a full-time job.
But then I remembered the Bible verse where it says to 'keep on pressing forwards towards the prize'. Paul had gone through prison, beatings, suffering and so much more, but despite all that, he still kept on sharing the Gospel of Christ.
Paul still kept on his purpose, no matter what life threw his way. So, I was like, 'Steph, if Paul went through all that and he still kept moving forward, girl, you can muster up the energy to keep on doing what God told you to do too.'
All praise to God, I picked up my fail, kept pressing forward, and now here I am two years later still doing what the Lord created me to do full-time, all praise to Jesus.
Sister of Christ, keep pressing on towards the prize.
Don't focus on the failure. Focus on the end destination God told you to achieve.
When things go wrong, don't dwell on the pain. Don't dwell on the mistake. Reflect inwardly and search for a lesson you can learn that will elevate you to the next level of your purpose journey.
When I had that really bad launch of that first program, you know what I did? I hired a coach to teach me how to launch products. I went ahead and took that program, implemented the steps, and successfully launched the School of Purpose, praise God.
A year later, praise Jesus, I successfully launched the Godlywood Girl School of Business, and now, praise God, I'm about to launch another program, and it's because I took a lesson in that failure.
I realized that trying to do this stuff and guess on my own is too expensive. If I had more money in the bank, OK, fine. I'm OK guessing through stuff and wasting money.
But no, sis. From that very expensive lesson, I learned that it's wiser to invest in someone who knows more than me and use that knowledge to get it right the first time.
Keep pressing forward. Don't dwell on what went wrong. Instead, look at the lesson you can learn from that obstacle, and then take it and apply it to moving toward your next step.
So that’s it first this first episode in the series. Comment below and let me know the #1 thing you’ll focus on FIRST.

Want to know what your passion is? If you ever say to yourself, “I don’t know my passion,” this article will show you how to find your passion using 4 simple steps. You’ll know how to find your passion in life, and all the best tips to find your passion in life.

Stephanie Rodnez, Author, Filmmaker & Purposeologist
Hey sis,
It's Stephanie Rodnez here, founder and CEO of Godlywood Girl and creator of the Godlywood Girl School Of Purpose, and if you ever look at yourself in the mirror and say, "Ahhh, I don't know my passion", well sis, by the end of this article you're going to have the exact formula that I've used to help over a thousand women of Christ find their passion.
Yeah, I know what you're thinking, sis. You're like 'Stephanie, I jumped on this article to find out what my actual passion is, what I really like. Why are you asking me to list all the stuff that I don't like?'
Well, here's the reason: because a lot of us confuse our passion with things that we're just good at. And sometimes people will say 'Oh my gosh, you're so good at this and you're so good at that.' So we'll start doing it and then we'll find out we are pretty good at it, so then we think we have a knack for it and then we're like 'Ok, I guess I'm passionate about it'. But secretly you hate doing it.
Some people have said to me, "Well Stephanie, you can be passionate about something and not really like doing it." Nah, sis! I always refer to Psalm 16:11 which says, "You make known to me the path of life. You will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand." As daughters of Christ, it is our birthright to be filled with eternal pleasures as we sit at the right hand of Christ. So why would I ever accept that I'm destined to do things that I don't really like doing? No brah! Uh huh!
I truly believe that your passion is something that ignites you and excites you and that you honestly love.
Now, this actually happens to me in my own life. When I first started Godlywood Girl in 2014, it was in response to somebody taking advantage of me in my previous business. So I was like, 'you know what, I'm going to learn how to do marketing myself so I never have to rely on somebody else to do marketing for my products again.' I learned how to do social media and all praise to God I got pretty good at it. A lot of people started asking me for help, and I thought 'Well, I am pretty good at doing social media for myself and I do enjoy doing it for myself, so of course I'll enjoy doing it for others!'
Well, I started the Stephanie Rodnez Marketing Agency and one of the services I provided was helping people create their social media content. I did it for about a year and a half before I realized I hated doing it. Every time I had to do social media for my own business, I was super excited. I couldn't wait to get up and do it.
But for some reason when I had to do social media for a client, I'd put it off for as long as possible, procrastinated with every human excuse known to man, and would keep just cringing every time I had to sit and do it.
I still did a good job, praise God. Clients still loved the results, but I personally did not enjoy it, and that was my huge 'Aha' moment that 'Steph, yeah, you're good at doing social media content; yeah, it's not that hard for you, but you don't really like doing this, so stop doing it.' As a result, I stopped offering it as a service in my agency.
It's important to make sure you ask yourself this question so that you can distinguish between what you're good at and what you actually like.
Let me know in the comments below something that you're actually really good at doing but you can't stand doing it. I bet we have a few things in common.
To understand this question, turn to Ecclesiastes 3:12-13 which says, "I learn that the best thing for people to do is to be happy and enjoy themselves as long as they live. God wants everyone to eat, drink and enjoy their work. These are gifts from God."
Sis, did you know that enjoying the work you do is literally a gift from God? It's our birthright as daughters of Christ. Take a look at what you have to do right now in your life, in your job, in your ministry, in your career, at home, at work, whatever it is.
Take a look at the things that you are currently responsible for doing and mark down those items that you absolutely love to do.
When I asked myself this question, I realized that I absolutely love making videos. I love producing videos, I love writing videos, I love editing videos, I just love everything video-related. When I realized that I don't really like doing social media content but I DO love video production, I started doing more of that in my business. That's what I'm actually passionate about doing.
Let me know, what is it that you have to do right now in your life that you love doing, and would honestly spend more time doing if you could? Comment below and let me know.
Now this is kind of a funny question because a lot of us are like, 'Wait. What do you mean? Like if I have to use the bathroom, I go use the bathroom.'
No, I'm not talking about like emergency situations. I'm talking about just in a normal day, what is something that when you sit down and start doing you lose track of time, you forget to eat a snack, you forget to use the restroom, you forget to get a drink of water, you even forget to look at the clock because you love doing it so much and you just get so lost when you're doing it?
In my own life, this happens to me all the time is when I am writing a book. When I'm writing, I will literally lose track of what day it is. When I sit down in front of my computer and I start working on a book, it's like my mind just drifts off to another place and I lose all sense of time. And I've spoken to a lot of authors who feel the same exact way.
Finding out which one of those activities you do that make you lose track of time is a great indication of what you're passionate about because you enjoy doing it so much that you literally aren't even looking at the clock.
I don't know if you remember that interview from Beyonce a few years ago when she was on set and she said she forgot to eat for 3 days because she was so excited about the video they were filming. She was so excited and passionate to be there and do the work that she completely forgot she hadn't eaten for 3 days. That, sister of Christ, is what you call passion.
Let me know what activities you do that make you forget to even look at the clock? Now to make that process a little bit easier for you, if you're having trouble really identifying those things that make you forget to look at the clock, make sure you grab my brand new Find Your Purpose Journal that shows you how to identify your passion step-by-step with my formula. You can grab it for free by going to purposegift.com.
The secret to this questionnaire is not one question in itself, but it's the totality of all of your answers combined. When you answered each of those questions, what keeps coming up over and over again? For me, every single time I do a passion questionnaire, "writing content" is always something that is repeated over and over and over again.
Whether it's writing video content, email content, content for a book, content for a newsletter - it doesn't really matter. When I'm writing I feel like that is when I'm most in my God-given purpose.
Take a look at your answers and see which answers come up over and over again, and when you do go to Google and type in those responses and say 'Careers that involve...', and then take a look at all of the different options that involve all the things that you're passionate about doing.
This is a great way to find your passion.
So, to recap, if you ever say to yourself 'I don't know my passion', ask yourself these 4 questions:

As women of Christ, there’s this habit that some of us have where we want to focus on doing 15 different things at once.
And that’s why in today’s Christian Motivational Speaker Series, I want to teach you how to fix your focus.
My name is Stephanie Rodnez, founder & CEO of Godlywood Girl, and my purpose in life is to help you achieve yours. That’s why I created the FREE Find Your Purpose Toolkit that will walk you through finding God’s purpose for your life step-by-step, so to grab your free toolkit visit http://purposegift.com
Now let’s dive into why fixing your focus matters so much. Here’s the truth: when you are working on a goal, dream or purpose God placed on your heart, if you’re trying to do two things at once, you’re splitting your ability to be able to effectively execute one goal at a time.
Napoleon Hill talks a lot about this in the 10 Laws Of Success. He says that tin order to be success in life we have to focus on doing one thing at a time because it’s literally impossible to put 100% of our effort into doing 2 different things at the exact same time.
An example I like to use at Godlywood Girl is if you’re trying to save $10,000 in one bank account, is it more effective to open one bank account and put all the income you earn into that one account?
Or is it more effective to open up two bank accounts, and split your earned money into two separate accounts and try to save $10,000 in each account at the exact same time?
Remember, the goal is to save $10,000 in ONE account.
So if you’re splitting your efforts over 2 different accounts, you’ll always end up with $5,000 in two accounts instead of $10,000 in one account – which means it’ll take longer to reach your goal.
It’s the same in our own lives. If we split our effort and focus on two different goals at the same time, yes, eventually we’ll probably reach both of them, but it’ll take longer because we focused on two different things at once.
If you want to achieve your purpose-driven goals, go all in and give 100% of your effort on ONE thing at a time. That way when you finish that one goal, you can use the momentum and energy from that success to put all of your effort into achieving the next goal.
At Godlywood Girl, I like to call these “legend goals.” They’re the goals you focus on right now that literally create the legend God created you to be.
In my personal life, I always work on just one legend goal at a time. I didn’t use to do this though. I used to be OBSESSED with working on multiple projects at once, and it honestly used to frustrate me a lot.
I constantly got confused at the tasks I needed to work on each day, and the overwhelm of working on multiple projects at once sometimes made me just throw up my hands and say “I’m procrastinating today” lol.
But once I stopped working on multiple goals at once and started focusing on achieving one goal at a time, all of a sudden where it used to take me six months to launch a new product, now it only takes me two weeks because I’m focusing ALL my energy on finishing that product over the two week period.
Test this out, fix your focus, and see the results you get on your purpose journey.
So that’s it first this first episode in the series. Comment below and let me know the #1 thing you’ll focus on FIRST.

In this blog, we're going to talk about what is fear and five steps you can use to stop letting fear get in the way of your God-given purpose. My name is Stephanie Rodnez, founder and CEO of Godlywood Girl, and my purpose in life is to help you achieve yours, and that's why I'm so excited to dive into this topic because fear has stopped me from doing a lot of things in my life, and I want to make sure that it does not stop you.
There are three steps to keeping fear from your purpose:
Step number one is to recognize what fear actually is. I love this definition from Dictionary.com. It says, "Fear is a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, whether the threat is real or imagined." Another website said, "Fear is an emotional response induced by 'perceived threats' which causes a change in brain and organ function, as well as in behavior." Now, the reason why I love this definition is that a lot of times, as Christians, people tell us that fear is a lack of faith. They're like, "If you're so afraid, then you ain't believing in God and you got issues."
I remember a couple of years ago, there was a hurricane - HURRICANE - propelling towards South Florida. And I was very afraid, I was very fearful of the hurricane, and I remember I posted on social media about it. I was like, "Oh my gosh, this thing is a category 5, it's so scary." And somebody actually dragged me! They were like, "Stephanie, you talk about living your purpose all the time, you need to have more faith in that, you being afraid shows that you don't really believe in God," and all this stuff. That's not true, sis! Fear is an emotional response caused by a perceived threat. It is a perceived threat. Whether it's real or imagined, it is a threat.
Because there's literally good fear and there's literally bad fear. Good fear is, "Hey, if I jump off of that building that's 100 feet in the sky, I'm going to die." That's good fear, right? Because that keeps me from jumping off the building and making a stupid decision. Bad fear is when it's something that keeps us from pursuing our God-given purpose. It's a fear that keeps us from taking action when the dream has got a place in our heart. That is a bad fear, that is when it's actually a bad thing.
Fear is not a lack of faith. And the reason why I wanted to make sure we went over this in step one, is because if you believe that fear is a lack of faith, then you're not going to let yourself acknowledge that you're really feeling fear. Because you're going to want to be like, "Oh no, I believe in all this stuff." But fear is not the opposite of belief, my darling. Fear is literally just an emotional response to a perceived threat or danger, something that can cause you harm, ok? All of us feel fear. Every single one of us feel fear at something, or someone, or some scenario. But what matters is if we allow that fear to keep us from living our God-given purpose. And that's when we get to step number two.
Step number two is to identify if fear is holding you back from living your God-given purpose. Now, again, there are some fears that are good fears, ok? They're good fears because they keep us from putting ourselves in really bad situations. A fear of going into a really bad neighborhood in the middle of the night where there are drug dealers and people trying to rob you, that is a good fear. Because it keeps you from being in a dangerous situation. But a bad fear is a fear that keeps you from living your God-given purpose, a fear that is not based on actual facts, but it's something just imagined inside of our head, it's a perceived threat, ok?
Step two is to identify whether you are having a good fear, which is keeping you from actual danger, or bad fear, which is keeping you from living your God-given purpose. Here's what I mean. Is there something that God has asked you to do but you're not taking action on it because of some perceived threat to your well-being? Napoleon Hill talks about six basic fears, but there are really three, that in my experience working with women living their purpose, that really keep us from taking action in our God-given purpose journey.
Now, those three main fears, the first one is the fear of poverty. You are afraid that if you take action on your God-given purpose, if you dive in, if you go all in, then you're going to end up broke, you're going to end up spending all your money, you're going to end up not being able to make money, you're going to end up in the poor house, ok? If that fear is holding you back from taking action on your God-given purpose, then yes, fear is standing in your way.
The second fear that I feel like really impacts women of purpose is the fear of criticism. Are you terrified that if you take action on your God-given purpose, then people are going to criticize you and speak badly about you? If the answer was yes, then yes, fear is standing in your way of living your purpose. For me, this was one of the biggest fears that held me back, because at a very young age somebody told me that I was nothing. And so, I kept that in my head and I refused to prove that person right. So I was terrified of people criticizing me about bad business decisions, about mistakes that I made. So for a long time, that fear kept me from taking action on my business.
The third fear that Napoleon Hill talks about is the fear of loss of love. Are you afraid that if you take action on your God-given purpose, if you move forward in the calling and the destiny God created you to live, that there are certain family members, or friends, or loved ones who aren't going to support you or aren't going to love you anymore because you're doing what you want to do instead of what they told you to do? If the answer is yes, then fear is holding you back.
So if you answered yes to any of those questions, or if you know there's some other fear that is keeping you from stepping into your God-given purpose, then the answer is yes to this question, "Is fear holding you back?" And it's time to move on to step three.
Step three is to locate. Locate the cause of the fear. Every single fear that we have comes from a root source. Where did it actually come from? Think about it. We know that jumping off a 100-foot building is going to kill us, right? But we don't know it from experience. We know because either somebody told us that it was going to happen, or we saw it actually happen to somebody in a news article or something like that. So our actual fear is based off of somebody else's experience. It's the same thing with any fear. A fear of loss of love, a fear of criticism, fear of poverty, it's because somebody told us that might happen if we step into our God-given purpose.
Now, think about the fear holding you back from stepping into your God-given purpose. Who told you that if you pursue this, you may lose all your money? Who told you that if you pursue this, people are going to criticize you and make fun of you? Who told you that if you pursue this, you may not be loved anymore, you may not be cherished anymore, you may not be supported anymore? Who told you those things? Who made you feel those things? Sometimes it's a family member, sometimes it's a friend, sometimes it's a news article that we read or a book that we read, sometimes it's a bad experience, a past failure, or a past hurt that we went through that creates that fear inside of us.
Whatever it is, it's really important to identify where the fear first began. For me, my fear of criticism began when that person told me that I was nothing when I was 15 years old. From then on, I was terrified of proving that person right. And the fear of criticism kept me from doing anything too bold or too loud, because oh my gosh, if this person finds out that I did it, and I didn't succeed, then they're going to criticize me, and they're going to tell everybody, and they're going to know that it's right. That is literally where that root of fear was.
I want you to really sit down and think to yourself, what is the source of this fear? Where did it come from? And I want you to do this by doing something I like to call "The why exercise." Grab a sheet of paper, and at the very top write down, "I fear that I will fail on my purpose because..." and then write down the first thing that comes into your head. For me, when I did this exercise, I wrote down, "I fear that I'm going to fail on my purpose because everybody told me I would fail when I was 18 years old."
Then write down your why statement. Why you believe that fear. So for me, I wrote down, "I believed when people told me I was fail when I was 18 years old because that person told me that I was nothing when I was 15 years old." So because I had that experience of that person telling me I was nothing, when people told me I wasn't good enough to succeed as a filmmaker, I believed them. So that was my why.
Then we're going to do it again. We're going to write another "why" statement for why we believe that fear, right? So we're going to keep doing these why statements until we get to a tangible fact. Something that is not based off somebody else's opinion, but it's actual fact. So when I ask myself why did I believe when people told me I was going to fail when I was 18? Well, because that person told me that I was nothing when I was 15. Why did I believe that person when they told me I was nothing when I was 15? Well, when I really think about it, it's because I hadn't developed a track record yet. I hadn't really succeeded at anything at that point in my life. So of course I believed that person, because I didn't have any proof to the contrary.
So that is my tangible fact as to why I believed that person when she said I was nothing. It's because I hadn't actually done anything that I found was valuable in a career setting yet. That's tangible. When I was 15, I didn't have a track record as a filmmaker, I couldn't, I was 15 years old. So I want you to sit down and keep doing those why statements until you come to the tangible fact that is the root of all that fear.
And then we get to step four, which is to treat the root of the fear. Now, usually, the treatment is going to be the reversal of whatever that root cause was, ok? It's going to be the reversal of the root of that fear. So for example, since my tangible fact was that I didn't have a track record showing that I actually could be a filmmaker and actually succeed at it, I started keeping a journal of all my wins during my career over the past 12 years.
So for example, whenever - praise God - somebody purchases a product from me and sends me a testimonial of how it changed their life, I write that as a win. This proves that there is some value that I'm adding to the world. I'm not nothing, there is value that's coming from me. Whenever somebody messages me and says, "Oh my gosh, can we get on a coaching call?" And we get on that coaching call and she actually walks away with an action plan to step into her God-given purpose, I write that down as a win. Because hey, there is value! That's value coming, praise God, and that means I'm not nothing, there is value coming from me.
So whatever it is that is the root cause of your fear, reverse it. Reverse whatever it is and build up proof that that root cause is not true. Because fear sometimes is like Joel Osteen says, is false evidence appearing real. We are literally basing our fear off of somebody else's opinion and what happened to them, and their story, and their journey. But really, we have to look at what’s fact.
What is really keeping me from stepping into my God-given purpose? Oh, it's the fear that I'm nothing? Well, let's start proving that I'm something. And by the time I'm done, now I believe, praise God, I'm something. So when that fear tries to come my way, "Stephanie, you're nothing, you're meaningless, you don't have value." No, bro! I'll break out my win journal, I take a look, I read it, and I know that it's not true.
So create an action plan to reverse that fear. And if you want some tips to do this, make sure you check out my "How to think positive" series that I did. There is a lot of ways that you can reverse those fears, so you can step into your God-given purpose.
And finally, step number five is to embrace. Embrace that some sort of fear will always be part of our purpose journey. There was nobody in this world who never feels fear, ok? Fear is a necessary emotion that protects us! It is an emotional trigger to a perceived threat. So not all fear is bad. The only fear that's bad is when it's actually keeping us from stepping into our God-given purpose.
So when you identify fear that is actually keeping you from stepping into your purpose, do the why exercise, identify the root cause, get yourself a treatment plan, and reverse it, and keep it moving, sis. Do it afraid, like Joyce Meyers always likes to say. I love that saying. Do it afraid, because there is never a time when we will completely eliminate fear from our lives. But what we can do is eliminate fear from stopping us from stepping into our God-given purpose, and that is what we want to do.

]]>About 5 years ago, I made a REALLY bad business decision that literally sank me into a depression so deep, I couldn’t escape from it. I constantly had panic attacks, I couldn’t see the good in ANY situation…
Have you ever felt that way?
Yeah, me too.
But what’s interesting about that time, I was still achieving goals. I was still getting promotions at work and attending events and meeting new people.
But I wasn’t thinking positive. I wasn't putting even an ounce of energy towards living my God-given purpose.
It’s a myth to think positive thinking happens as a result of external circumstances.
Positive thinking is a CHOICE you make, day in and day out, to see that your purpose is possible.
And that's exactly what this week's video tutorial shows you how to do.
[WATCH NOW] 5 Rules Of Positive Thinking
In the video, you’ll learn:
Be sure to check it out here:
[WATCH NOW] How To Think Positive
Myth - Many people think positive thinking is the RESULT of something external, like “if I go to this event, I’ll think positive. Or if I achieve that goal, I’ll think positive.”
That couldn’t be further from the truth.
It’s a myth to think positive thinking happens as a result of external circumstances. Happiness may happen as a result of other stuff - but that’s just a temporary emotion. Motivation may happen as a result of external circumstances - that’s also a temporary emotion.
But positive thinking - no. That’s a CHOICE you make, day in and day out, to see that your purpose is possible.
Remember, in last week’s video, I explained how positive thinking actually refers to your ability to believe you can successfully achieve your purpose, the goal or dream God placed on your heart.
So you have to make the CHOICE to say "YES, I believe that through Christ, I can do all things."
The dictionary defines a “choice” as “an act of selecting or making a decision when faced with two or more possibilities.”
The two choices you have are:
Either way - you’re going to be right. Remember the power of positivity is activated through the words you speak. You literally create your reality by the words you say.
That’s the power God put inside you when He created you (to learn more about that concept, make sure you watch my last tutorial that explains this with scripture.)
You have to CHOOSE which option will be yours.
I choose that I can do this.
And when I made that choice, all of a sudden I was producing new books and hosting webinars and doing live streams and actively marketing what God gave me to do.
And now here I am running Godlywood Girl full time.
The truth is that you choose to think positive. It’s not done to you, or for you. It’s a choice you make every single minute, second, day, week, month and year. It’s a choice you make to constantly believe you can do ALL THINGS through Christ who strengthens you - including living your purpose.
So to take action on this step, ask yourself: what choice have you made to believe you can successfully do this? Write it down in the comments below.
It’s a myth to think our external environment doesn’t affect the way we think. I remember when I used to watch all of these DEPRESSING shows on cable, like The First 48, Deadly Women, Deadline: Crime, Evil Twins, and pretty much anything on ID Discovery.
And I didn’t realize it at the time - but it was during that same 2 years after I made that bad business decision and almost went bankrupt, that I would watch these shows in bulk. Over and over again.
The more pain there was in the show, the more I wanted to watch it.
This wasn't just on TV, this happened in my personal life as well. If I had friends who had it all together and were super happy and bubbly all the time, I felt like I had nothing in common with them, and I didn’t want to particularly hang out with them anymore.
But the friends who had a lot of pain, who had a lot of hurt, who had negative thoughts and complained all the time - those were the friends I gravitated to.
So I would spend all my time in a toxic environment talking about pain, hurt and toxic energy.
And I truly believe that’s what kept me in that depression for so long.
Until the lightbulb moment came.
My husband took me to Bible study, and Pastor Joshua Fequiere played a video by Dr. Eric Thomas that literally SHIFTED my life. It was the "You Owe You" video and it unleashed the power of positivity within me.
My positive outlook - that power I’d tapped into since I was a little girl - but let go of when I made the bad business decision -
All of a sudden, it was woken up. It was like - "Yo, I’ve been hibernating, but I'm ready."
I went home and watched almost every single video Dr. Eric Thomas had on his YouTube channel.
Day in, day out, during work, on my commute, when I was at home - I had my headphones in and I was listening to all this positive, powerful energy that was speaking my success.
God used Dr. Eric Thomas to bring me back to the power God gave me - which was to speak my purpose.
So I started speaking it. And now here I am running my company as a result.
You can’t spend your time listening to music that’s degrading and depressing and painful. You can’t spend all your time reading books about pain and hurt and failure.
You can’t stay in the company of people who see only bad, and never good.
Because that effects your ability to speak your power of positivity.
You have to feed yourself words, affirmations, television, books, friends and music that speak life unto you, not death. That speak healing into you, not pain. That speaks success over you, not failure.
I haven’t watched a show on Investigation Discovery in years.
I don’t read murder books anymore.
I don’t spend all my time with friends who gossip anymore.
Now, I talk to girls who have dreams bigger than I do. And when I’m feeling down, they speak life into me, and when they’re feeling down, I speak life into them.
That’s the choice you have to make, to not allow that negativity to seep into your mind ever gain.
And for those of you who have negative family members, I understand, and I’ll talk about that in my next tip. But here’s what you have to do. Get some headphones, and put them over your ears, and feed yourself.
Watch the videos on my Godlywood Girl YouTube channel. Watch the videos on Dr. Eric Thomas’ channel. Watch Steven Furtick and Bishop T.D. Jakes and Joyce Meyers and Priscilla Shirer. These speakers will SPEAK God’s power into you - your true purpose.
To take action -
Make a list of the resources you’ll use each day when you need to feed yourself motivation. For me, my list includes Dr. Eric Thomas’ “You Owe You” video. It’s the video that changed my life and it’s my go to when I need to get back to my purpose.
Make a list, keep it handy, and use it as often as humanly possible.
Comment below and let me know your #1 go-to resource for feeding yourself positivity.
A lot of times when we find ourselves in a negative state of mind, it’s a myth to think we can just break ourselves out of it. What’s more accurate is that we have to physically MOVE form the negative space, and into a positive one.
Like me - when I went to church, I physically left the dark living room that I was in, and went to the bright, positive fellowship hall where I saw that video by Dr. Eric Thomas that changed my life. I shifted my environment.
And it’s so funny, because when I think back to when I was a kid, I did this same thing but didn’t realize it at the time. I remember i had a MASSIVE fight with one of my sisters, and I was just feeling so down and bad about myself.
So at 13 years old, I got on my bicycle and went to the park. It was a beautiful space, and I remembered that I only had positive memories there. I liked getting on the swing set and just kicking my legs for hours, swinging. It felt like I was flying, like I was free.
So I left the house and I went to the park, I played the song “Fighter” by Christina Aguilera in my headphones over and over again, and I just cried for a while.
But after about 40 minutes, I started getting my strength back, my power back, my strength to believe I was a good purpose and that I could achieve everything God placed in my heart.
And it shifted me. It changed me.
Getting out of the house and into a positive place CHANGED me, and helped me make the choice to believe in myself again, to believe that through Christ, I could do anything.
So I went home, and got back to work.
And that concept still applies today.
Find that place where you feel serenity, where you feel peace, where your spirit feels liberated. Find that place - and maybe you can’t stay there. Maybe it’s a Starbucks where you made your first deal, maybe its church service, maybe it’s the classroom where you got your first A -
Wherever it is -
Identify that place. And when you need to get out of the negativity surrounding you, go to that place, pop in your headphones, and play one of those resources you identified in step 2.
Do this as often as you need - you are created to do ALL THING though Christ who strengthens you.
Believe it.
Because you’re absolutely amazing.
And bonus - if you don’t already know what your God-given purpose is, you don’t have a clear vision of the dream God placed on your heart - make sure you grab my FREE 5-Day Activate your purpose challenge by going to PurposeLegend.com.

There are four steps to successfully living God’s purpose for your life:
There’s no trick. There’s no secret formula. There’s no hidden superpower. There’s this: Faith + Action = Success.
But the most critical part of that process is step #1: understanding what God created you to do on this earth. And in this article, that’s exactly what I’ll show you how to do:
I was 18-years-old when almost everyone in my life told me I would fail as a Christian filmmaker. Even though I knew God was calling me to produce Christian films and videos, my mentors said I was too black, too female and too Christian to ever make it in Hollywood.
Seven years later, I proved them all wrong when I launched my first production company and got national distribution for two of my films in retail stores nationwide.
I thought I was on top of the world…
Until I made a bad business deal that almost bankrupt me and almost bankrupt my entire company.
I felt embarrassed and ashamed that I’d proven the naysayers right and as a result, I stepped back from living my purpose and instead started living the “status quo.”
I got a full-time job and started punching in with a time clock. I ran through the motions of the 9-5 grind and tried to accomplish the goals of my boss while ignoring my own.
For two year I STOPPED working on my purpose as a Christian filmmaker.
And ended up feeling stuck living a life I never wanted in the first place.
Have you ever felt that way? Like you know you’re meant for so much more but can’t figure out how to achieve it?
That’s exactly how I was. I felt miserable. I felt hopeless. I felt trapped working to build someone else’s dream instead of building my own.
Until God REIGNITED my passion for filmmaking with a video by Dr. Eric Thomas that taught me I would only reach success when I wanted it as badly as I wanted to breathe.
In other words, when I believed I could succeed as a Christian filmmaker (faith) and backed up that belief with hard work (action), I would finally see success.
So I started studying the idea of “living my purpose’ full-time. I started studying strategic planning and applying that to this thing called “success.”
And as a result, God led me on an incredible journey that allowed me to launch a new company, produce several new videos and books and finally walk away from my 9-5 job and start living God’s purpose for my life full-time.
Living on purpose ain’t easy. But it’s the best journey I’ve ever had the blessing of walking. And in this article, I’m going to teach you how to find God’s purpose for your life so you can experience the joy that comes with living your authentic self each and every day.
Here’s what a lot of Christians don’t realize. God didn’t create us to be inauthentic. God didn’t create us to hide who we really are. Every single one of us were created with a purpose. Romans 8:28 says in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. What is that purpose?
Well it’s The Great Commission.
Matthew 28:16-20New International Version (NIV) 16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
This is your calling. To tell others about the story of Christ. To tell them that Jesus loves them and died for them and if they believe in Him they can spend eternity with Him.
But the WAY you do this, the way you tell other’s about His name, is your specific purpose. And to find out what that is, the second step to finding your purpose is to examine the spiritual gifts, passions and talents God has given you.
Check out this quick YouTube video I filmed sharing this:
The word of God says we have many spiritual gifts that are distributed to us by the Holy Spirit. These gifts are the way the Lord predetermined for us to share His love with others.
1 Corinthians 12:4-7 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. 7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
Your piece of the puzzle, your chunk of the pie… That is the way God has called you to share the story of Christ with others. For example, as a filmmaker and author, my job is to share the Gospel of Christ through the films and books I produce.
For an athlete, her purpose would be to share the Gospel of Christ through the interviews and events she competes in.
For a nurse, her purpose would be to share the Gospel of Christ with the patients who ask her for hope.
For a 9-5 corporate employee, her purpose would be to share the Gospel of Christ to the employees and clients she works with.
So how do you find out what your spiritual gifts are? The number one way is to look inside you and examine the interests, talents, passions, and skills you already have. Your gifts are already there.
You just have to ask yourself the right questions to find them.
That's why I created an amazing "What's Your Purpose?" free video training that will ask you the right questions to identify the exact passions, gifts, talents, and interests God has given you.
You can get my free training now by going to http://purposelegend.com and letting me know where to email you the video.
To be honest with you, your purpose is probably something you're afraid to do. Because you know it’s going to be impossible for you to accomplish it without God. It's probably something that someone has told you isn't good enough, that you want make money at.
It's probably something that you think is just a hobby, but you would do it for free. That's one of the biggest indicators of your purpose. You would do it for free. It's that thing you think is impossible to get paid for because you love it so much.
But guess what? You CAN get paid for it. You can shine God’s light with it. You can absolutely bring more people to His kingdom and live a life of abundance and success because you step into the purpose God has given you.
Take time to identify the profession or calling that ignites the most excitement within you. Grab my free video training that shows you exactly how to do this by going to https://purposelegend.com.
The third step - and the most important - is to CONFIRM God’s purpose for your life. This is where you’ll spend time in God’s word, praying, fasting and worshipping Him, asking Him to reveal whether or not this is the purpose He has intended for your life.
I’ve created a daily devotional that walks you through my 7-day prayer strategy for asking the Lord to confirm His purpose for your life. It utilizes scripture, worship, praise and prayer using Bible-based methods to connect you with Christ. You can get your copy by clicking here.
And when you take the time to confirm God’s purpose for your life with His answer, when you’re living in God’s purpose and being your authentic self and being exactly what God created you to be, you can finally unlock inner joy and contentment.
By achieving God’s purpose for your life, you can finally answer that gut feeling you have and start living your best self.
You can finally start reaching your fullest potential and become what God made you to be. You can breathe easier because you know you’re taking charge of your life instead of letting other people dictate whether you go left or right.
Because let me tell you, even if you start by working on your purpose just 5 minutes a day, you’ll start to feel that bubble of excitement you’ve been missing for so long.
You can feel connected with your purpose, you can feel aligned with your core values, you can create a positive impact on the world by sharing God’s love through your natural gifts and abilities, you can reinvent yourself and be your best self.
And – when you get to heaven, you can give God an account for what He called you to do. Because you will have to give God account.
Matthew 25:29-30 29 For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
You will get to heaven and give God account on exactly how you used the gifts and TALENTS He has given you.
Lord – You’ve given me the gift of encouragement. Look, I write daily devotionals that encourage other women to use their talents to share Your name. I produced one more with the one you gave me.
Lord – You’ve given me the gift of dancing. Look, I’ve danced in praise teams that go church to church and share the gospel of Christ through music. I produced dozens more believers with the one talent You’ve given me.
Lord – You’ve given me the gift of worship. Look, I became a worship leader and helped women to deepen their faith to the point where they’re now using their gifts to bring others to Your name. With the one gift You gave me, I’ve produced thousands more.

[WATCH NOW] How To Think Positive

Last week I tried going to a meeting without clear directions. My client told me to meet her at the corner of "University and 184th," so I figured I could find my way.
After 2 hours of driving around aimlessly and half a tank of gas used up, I finally called her, got the exact address, and used my Maps app on my iPhone to take me there step by step.
Without directions, I wandered around aimlessly for 2 hours.
With directions, I got there in 15 minutes.
This got me thinking about my own path of purpose. How many of us wander around on this journey to success without a clear map guiding us? How many of us guess at our next direction instead of asking God to give us the step-by-step plan to get where we need to go?
If you do this, don't worry, you're not alone.
There's a way to get CLEAR on your path of purpose. And my new YouTube video tutorial shows you how:

Hey Godlywood Girl!
It’s Steph Rodnez here for another blast of purpose notes, and this week I want to talk about “how to stay focused on your goals.”
Are you having trouble staying focused on your goals?
I TOTALLY understand. One morning I'll feel pumped and ready to take action on my legend goals. I'll spend 15 hours straight grinding hard and getting work done.
Then the next day I wake up... And want to go back to sleep.
Instead of working on my goals some more, I'll kick back and watch Netflix, telling myself I "deserve a break" from the hard work I put in yesterday.
And while this may be true for one day of rest, it doesn't explain why I keep resting the next day.
And then ANOTHER day of rest after that.
Until finally, 3 weeks have passed by and I completely forget I was working on my goal in the first place.
Then the cycle starts all over again.
Sound familiar?
Lovely, you are NOT alone. Staying focused is hard for all of us, especially us creative entrepreneurs who like working on new things every chance we get.
But we can't achieve success unless we put in ALL the work required to achieve a goal, and that's why staying focused is so important.
Want to learn how I finally became focused?
I'll show you how in my brand new YouTube tutorial here:

Hey Godlywood Girl!
It’s Steph Rodnez here for another blast of purpose notes, and this week I want to talk about “how to think positive.”
A few years ago I had a SERIOUS problem with my anxiety. I couldn't get through a single day without degrading myself, thinking negative about my future, and doubting my ability to succeed.
Can you relate?
How many of us go through the day thinking "we can't," or "it's not possible," or "that just isn't for me," when all along God DID intend it for you... but your doubt got in the way of your blessing?
I totally understand, because I used to get in the way of my blessing too.
But NOW I am humbled to report that it's been 3 years since my last anxiety attack, and I owe it all to the 3 steps God showed me to STOP doubting myself and START thinking positive.
And I show you those 3 steps in my new YouTube tutorial here:
[WATCH NOW] How To Think Positive
In the video, you’ll learn:
Be sure to check it out here:
[WATCH NOW] How To Think Positive
In addition to the video, I also wanted to answer some of the commonly asked questions I get about positive thinking. Email me at hello@godlywoodgirl.com and let me know any other questions you’d like answered.
According to Leading Personality, "positive thinking is a mental attitude in which you expect good and favorable results. In other words, positive thinking is the process of creating thoughts that create and transform energy into reality. A positive mind waits for happiness, health and a happy ending in any situation."
For example, before I learned the steps I teach you in this week's video, I used to literally FALL APART when things went wrong in my business. I would scream "I'm quitting" every time a sales promotion or campaign fell apart.
Fast forward to 2018, and I PRAISE GOD the Lord has taught me that even though I can't always change my situation, I CAN change my REACTION to the situation.
You may remember the end of last year when an unexpected family emergency had me in a hospital room keeping my family member company as he was treated by a doctor for 12 days straight. This happened right in the middle of the launch of my book The Prayer Journal (did you miss the launch? Grab your copy here.)
Before I learned the steps, I would have given up on my business and focused only on dealing with the situation at hand. But God showed me that my REACTION is what matters, not the situation. So my family member and I prayed, trusted God, stayed obedient to what He had us do, and kept it moving.
Now Godlywood Girl is still thriving, because of a reaction.
Be sure to learn how to change your thinking here:
[WATCH NOW] How To Think Positive
Sheldon D. Newton says "Our thoughts are actually the soil from which springs our varied words and actions. In simple words, we live out in our daily life what we think about continually. Thoughts are intangible, but they are powerful, and their results are clearly seen, when acted upon. There is a saying that we are all creatures of habits."
Lovely, what you THINK literally becomes what you ARE. Your thoughts are the guidebook to which life either propels you or repels you towards your purpose.
Many Chrisitans tell me they don't believe in the law of attraction, but the Bible is CLEAR that what we think is what we become. Galatians 6:7 says "Don't be misled--you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant."
If your thoughts constantly plant self-doubt, negativity and lack, then you will HARVEST self-doubt, negativity and lack.
But if your thoughts constantly plant success, positivity and abundance, then you will HARVEST success, positivity and abudance.
God doesn't lie, and neither does His word. It is CRITICAL to your purpose to change your thoughts so you can step into the destiny God intended for your life. Find out how to do it here:
[WATCH NOW] How To Think Positive
This is the exact question I asked God in 2015 when He woke me up to my purpose. The answer is simple: change your mindset and you will change your life.
When you are able to believe in your subconscious mind that your purpose is possible, it literally attracts countless opportunities for you to take advantage of. The blessing is REAL, sis, and my book The War Of Purpose Elite Edition will show you EXACTLY how to do this. Make sure you check it out here:

Hey Godlywood Girl!
It’s Steph Rodnez here for another blast of purpose notes, and this week I want to talk about “New Year Resolutions.”
Why?
Because many of us fall into the trap of setting new year’s resolutions based off what our friends and family members want. This is the WORST way to set resolutions because you’re going after goals that don’t give you the life you want.
Lovely, please hear me when I say this. If you set new year’s resolutions that aren’t aligned with your God-given purpose, then you still won’t be living the life you want - even if you achieve those goals.
The secret is to set New Year’s Resolutions that align with your God-given purpose, and my latest YouTube video shows you how:
In the video, you’ll learn:
In addition to the video, I also wanted to answer some of the commonly asked questions I get about New Year’s Resolutions. Reply back to this email and let me know any other questions you’d like answered.
According to my trusty friend Wikipedia, a new year’s resolution is a tradition in which a person resolves to change an undesired trait or behavior, to accomplish a personal goal or otherwise improve their life.
For example, if I want to grow in my purpose in 2018, my new year’s resolution could be to attend a purpose-driven conference at least one time each month.
In Proverbs 29:18, the Lord says “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
Without a clear vision of the purpose God created you to achieve and the results you want in your life, “the people perish.” You must have a clear picture of where you want to go with your life in 2018, otherwise nothing will ever change.
I know statistics say that most people fail at their New Year’s resolutions, but you are created to do great things according to God’s purpose for your life, and I believe 2018 is going to be your best year yet.
Start by using your New Year’s Resolutions to move forward on your journey of purpose. Don’t copy what Susie-Q and Johnny Smith want. Go after what GOD wants for your life, the way He created you to live it.
2018 is a fresh start for all of us, and you are created to do great things in this world. If you’re ready to start living your God-given purpose full-time, be sure to grab your copy of The War Of Purpose Elite Edition here:

Hey Godlywood Girl!
It’s Steph Rodnez here for another Live Your Purpose Motivational Message, and this week I wanted to talk about “long-term goals.”
Why?
Long-term goals give you a clear picture of the vision God purposed for your life - and the way He wants you to get there.
If you don’t know where you want to be in 5 years, then you won’t see the results you want on your purpose journey.
Before I learned about the power of long-term goals, I was constantly playing “catch up” on my life because I was measuring my progress based off what other people around me accomplished.
Were my friends going to a 4-year college? Guess I needed to start applying.
Were my friends getting jobs? Guess I needed one too.
Many people in life follow this method. They use their friends and family members as a barometer of where they’re supposed to be in life - and what their next life goal should be.
But the problem is that if you measure your progress based on other people, then you’ll never get to the levels God uniquely created you to reach.
Your purpose journey is yours alone. There is literally no one else in this world who was created to live your purpose exactly the way God designed you to do it.
So your path of progress must be set by the vision God placed on your heart, and long-term goals allow you to paint that vision clearly.
Check out my latest YouTube video on long-term goals here:
In the video, you’ll learn:
Be sure to check it out here:
In addition to the video, I also wanted to answer some of the commonly asked questions I get about “how to become successful in life.” Get in touch with me at hello@godlywoodgirl.com if you'd like me to answer any other questions you have - I love hearing from you!
By the Career Advisor definition, a long-term goal is something you want to accomplish in the future. At Godlywood Girl, I like to define long-term goals as the result you want in your life that will take over 30 days to accomplish.
For example, if I want to finish my doctorate degree, that’s a long-term goal because it will take me WELL over 30 days to finish. But if I want to apply for a program, that’s a short-term goal because I can apply within the next few days.
Check out my full explanation on YouTube here:
Without a clear vision of the purpose God created you to achieve, the results you want in your life, “the people perish.” You must have a clear picture of where you want to go with your life, otherwise, nothing will ever change.
Long-term goals are ESSENTIAL to achieving your God-given purpose because they give you a clear, focused direction on where you’re heading. If my long-term goal is to finish my doctorate degree, but my short-term goals are only focused on building my business, then I’ll never be able to finish my doctorate degree.
However, when I have a clear vision of my long-term goal, I’m able to create short-term goals that get me a little closer to finishing that doctorate degree each and every day. No more wasting time on tasks that don’t serve your purpose. Long-term goals help you set daily tasks that matter.
Check out my full explanation on YouTube here:
Start using long-term goals in your journey of purpose by forcing yourself to sit down and write the vision God placed on your heart. This is one of my favorite formulas to teach Godlywood Girls in the School of Purpose because setting long-term goals will help you get to your finish line even faster.
I like to use something called “legendary goals” where a woman of purpose is able to identify the vision God placed in her heart, then she uses a 7-step action plan to break those goals down into actionable chunks she can pursue every single day.

Hey Godlywood Girl!
It’s Steph Rodnez here for another Live Your Purpose Motivational Message, and this week I wanted to talk about “success.”
Why?
Because “how do I become successful” is one of the most commonly asked questions I get as a purposeologist.
I totally relate to that question. When I was an 18-year-old kid listening to almost all my mentors tell me I would fail as a filmmaker because I was too black, too female and waaaayyy too Christian to make it in male-dominated “Hollywood” (you can read the whole story in my book “The War Of Purpose” here) it was tough to believe I could really be successful in life.
But as I’ve gotten older and seen both HUGE wins and MASSIVE failures in my filmmaking career, I’ve realized one key thing:
Success has NOTHING to do with money, milestones or career achievements.
It has nothing to do with how many people you know or how many followers you have.
Success isn’t about outward materials at all. How can I be so sure? Because if success was about those things, there’d never be a rich person living with depression or a poor person who had a great day.
On the contrary, success is about this ONE thing, and I want to share it with you in today’s YouTube video here:
In the video, you’ll learn:
And so much more! Be sure to check it out here:
[WATCH NOW] How To Become Successful In Life
In addition to the video, I also wanted to answer some of the commonly asked questions I get about “how to become successful in life.” Get in touch with me at hello@godlywoodgirl.com if you'd like me to answer any other questions you have - I love hearing from you!
By the dictionary’s definition, success is “the attainment of wealth, position, honors, or the like.” This is how a LOT of people in the world think too. They believe a successful person is someone who has a ton of money in the bank, expensive cars to drive and a big ole mansion to live in.
But learning how to become successful in life doesn’t start with learning how to attain wealth. Learning how to become successful in life begins with DEFINING what success means to YOU.
Lovely, I can tell you from first-hand experience that money does not equal success. If success were all about money, then why are there so many rich people who are depressed? Why do successful actors like Robin Williams take their own lives?
The answer: because success has NOTHING to do with money or the attainment of things. Check out my video on YouTube to find out what it’s REALLY about here.
According to best-selling author Stephen R. Covey’s book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.” the 7 keys to success are:
While I agree that these 7 habits are a GREAT way to be productive and effective, I don’t believe they are the keys to success.
Why?
Because again, success has nothing to do with what you get done. Success has nothing to do with what you’ve accomplished. In my definition, success is a state of mind. It is a way of living. And I teach you what that is in my YouTube video here.
Now this is a very interesting question that I get asked a LOT at Godlywood Girl. Amazing women email me and DM me every day wanting to know how to build an online business like God allowed me to do for Godlywood Girl.
But learning how to make money online is not the same as learning how to become successful in life. Learning how to become successful in life is all about learning how to shift your mindset from a spirit of lack to a spirit of abundance.
And I show you how to do that in my video on YouTube, so be sure to check it out here.
That’s it for this week’s “Live Your Purpose” motivational message. Have any questions? Email me at hello@godlywoodgirl.com and let me know - I love hearing from you.
Here’s to your success,
Stephanie (Godlywood Girl) Rodnez

Do you know God has something great in store for you, but for some reason you can't seem to figure out how to get unstuck and start living it?
Well, one problem just might be your perspective on life. Want to learn how to shift your perspective on life so you can step into your purpose? Check out my video tutorial on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/qFuqsmQJhZk
There are 3 steps that can really help you shift your perspective on life.
The enemy will try to distract you from your purpose by making you forget the greatness God has intended for you. I know things may be going wrong now, but it won't always be that way. Remember all the promises God has in store for you in His word.
One of the biggest differences between people with a "rich" mentality and people with a "poor" mentality is that the rich focus on the solution, not the problem. If you're spending all your time complaining about what went wrong, you'll never be able to see the lesson God wants you to learn in the situation.
Shift your perspective to focus on the solution to the problem - the lesson you can learn.
It looks without saying that gratitude opens the doors to success and abundance like nothing else. In every scenario, no matter how hopeless it seems, there is always something to be grateful for.
Stop and reflect upon your situation until you find something you can praise God for. Then every time you start to think negative, give God praise loud and strong!

There are four steps to successfully living God’s purpose for your life:
There’s no trick. There’s no secret formula. There’s no hidden super power. There’s this: Faith + Action = Success.
But the most critical part of that process is step #1: understanding what God created you to do on this earth. And in this article, that’s exactly what I’ll show you how to do.
What are you doing with God’s gift?
And if you can’t answer that, don’t worry. It’s not too late. You can apply this into your life by watching my free video training where I show you EXACTLY how to identify God's purpose for your life. Sign up here: https://purposelegend.com

1. Identify the fears holding you back. The only way to declare victory is to paint an accurate picture of your starting point. Are you afraid of failure? Are you afraid of financial bankruptcy? Are you afraid of death? Are you afraid of ridicule? Write down each of the fears.
2. Identify all the good things that can come out of you pursuing your dream. What is the financial success you can see? What is the love you can receive? What is the acceptance you can receive? What is the success that's possible?
3. Replace fear with faith. Each time one of the thoughts of fear from list 1 comes into your head, make the choice to replace that thought with a successful outcome from list 2. This is a process and will take practice, but the more the enemy realizes there's no bringing you down by putting ridiculous, unreal thoughts in your head, the stronger you'll become. Choose to not give any energy to the fearful thoughts and instead focus your energy on the positive thoughts. This is how the fears will slowly ebb away.
4. Tackle challenges immediately. Whatever was the biggest obstacle holding you back - perhaps a big project or a phone call you need to make - do it now. Use your new mental resolve to get the biggest task out of the way.
5. Create your own mental movie. Imagination yourself overcoming the fear. Imagine yourself living a life of joy, satisfaction, contentment and success. You'll notice a theme here - the fear only exists in your thoughts, so you can make the choice to think about positive things.
6. Give God praise. Call out Jesus' name. Whenever the enemy tries to hold you back with unrealized fear, the quickest way to chase that enemy out is by calling the name of Jesus. Cry out Jesus! Sing praise to His name! Give Him all the glory! And you won't even have time to notice that the enemy flees.

No matter how many times people act to the contrary, every single person on this earth wants to live a life of joy, passion and contentment. No one wants to be stuck in a miserable 9-5 job where they can't be who they are and tap into their natural talents and abilities. But that's exactly what life has in store for those people who never step into their passion.
]]>But that's exactly what life has in store for those people who never step into their passion. Because living a life of passion won't just fall into your lap. It's a conscious choice you must make to follow God's purpose for your life and chase after it with everything you've got.
What holds most people back from doing this are the 7 basic fears that come from pursuing your passion. A summary of the top 3 is below and the original article can be found here.
Step 1: Ask yourself what's REALLY the worst that can happen?
Write down your answers and take time to work through them in your head. Are those things really so bad? So your mom will be disappointed in you? Don't you think she'll change her mind once you're getting paid to do that which you love most? So your best friend won't support you? Isn't the God you serve in heaven all the support you need? So you don't have enough money in the bank? Then work hard and believe harder in your ability to HUSTLE and God's ability to abundantly bless whatever you save in the bank to work on your passion. The worst that can happen is never really that bad, because the God we serve in heaven will NEVER give us more than we can bear.
Step 2: Ask yourself what three steps you could take now to GET BACK ON TRACK?
You know that saying that everyone is 5 phone calls from the President? Well everyone is just 3 steps from living their passion. Take a moment to sit and imagine what 3 steps you can take TODAY to get back on track to your passion. Is it registering for school? Is it updating your resume? Is it going to a workshop? Is it buying art supplies? Is it taking a music lesson? Whatever those first three steps are, write them down - AND TAKE THEM.
Step 3 - Ask yourself what you're putting off because you're afraid.
If success was easy, everyone would do it. But because success requires us to overcome our personal fears, it's tough to break out of mediocre and step into the purpose God created for us.
What are you putting off because you're afraid? What are you postponing doing? Make a list of these things and acknowledge what you feel is the worst that can happen if you stop postponing. When you're finished, DO IT AFRAID. Remember, courage isn't about being fearless. Courage is about being afraid and doing it anyway. The reality is that your worst fears are most likely never going to happen unless you MANIFEST those fears by continually expecting them to happen.
Change your thinking. See the SUCCESS in everything you're about to do. Focus on the BLESSINGS God has in store for you.
And get started.

Excuses are the kryptonite to every dream you and I ignite in our spirits. Excuses are how the enemy talks you out of stepping into your purpose and living the life you know God has intended for you. That's why this week we're focusing on OVERCOMING excuses so we can step into our purpose.
]]>That's why this week we're focusing on OVERCOMING excuses so we can step into our purpose, and today's blog comes from an article on "The Change Blog" about overcoming excuses and chasing after your dreams.
1. Does something scare you?
DO IT AFRAID. Courage doesn't come from being fearless. Courage comes from being afraid and doing it anyway.
2. Does your dream cause you discomfort or frustration?
Work through the pain of chasing your dream - success is much sweeter than any challenge you have to face to get there. I hear this excuse the most when it comes to people going back to school. They don't want the pain of taking exams and writing papers and sitting through boring lectures. But I ask you this: isn't two years of discomfort now worth the $100,000 paycheck you'll be making after you finish your degree? Or do you want to be stuck with the same salary the rest of your life?
3. Does living your passion cause you so much joy that you feel guilty about charging for it?
I actually just had this conversation the other day. God created you to LOVE living in your passion. You're supposed to be doing something you'd totally do for free. But when you overcome that excuse and step into your passion, you get to be one of the lucky 2% actually getting paid for the talents and skills God put inside her. What a blessing!
4. Do you tend to quit when the going gets tough?
Understand that the harder it is to accomplish your goals, the closer you are to success. The enemy DOES NOT want you to walk in God's purpose for your life, because the enemy knows that once you're living your passion, you'll be shining the light of Christ everywhere you go.
So the enemy will throw obstacle after hurdle in your way to get you to stop. Here's the secret: when it gets difficult to continue working on your passion - WORK EVEN HARDER. Because success is right around the corner.
5. Difficult to take the first step?
Don't feel bad - taking that first step is the hardest part for any woman of Christ seeking to live in her passion. Taking the first step means you're stepping into extraordinary, that you're no longer settling for mediocre, that you're no longer the 98% who WAIT for life to happen - you have become the 2% MAKING life happen. And that's a scary thing. But this all goes back to lesson 1.
Courage isn't about being fearless, it's about being afraid and doing it anyway. All it takes is you doing one small thing to get started - whether that be brainstorming what you'll need to accomplish your goal, envisioning what your life will look like once you're in your passion, or creating a strategy for crossing that finish line - just get started. And if you keep a willing heart, God will lead you through the rest.
