James 4:13-17
13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil. 17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.

This weeks devotionals are all about walking into the unexpected. There's something that God is calling you to do, something you don't know the results of. And I understand how scary that is. I'm walking into my own unexpected. But here's the thing.
When we say yes to God, when we step into our purpose, when we give way to understanding and expectations and the knowledge of what will come to pass, we open ourselves up for greatness to be revealed.
I may not know what's going to happen 12 weeks down the line, or 12 days down the line, or even 12 hours down the line, but I do know one thing. God has got my back.
God has got yours. He will never leave you or lead you astray. The unexpected circumstances coming your way will have one result: a blessing at the end of it.
Go get your blessing.
Today's Affirmation Statement
I walk by faith and not by sight. Although the path seems unclear, I choose to trust God the entire way. His path is precious and beautiful and right. And although I may not understand it, I know God has my back. He will never lead me astray.
