Want to know how to make tshirts to sell online? In this video, I'm going to teach you the same exact strategy that I teach my students at the Godlywoodgirl School of Business for how to make shirts to sell online.

Step 1: Understand the Purpose of your Christian T-Shirt Business.
Listen, Christian t-shirt businesses online are a very competitive industry. There's a lot of us out here in the streets. And it's because it's such an easy way to start a business. It's print-on-demand and that means it requires zero dollars or startup money sis, that's pretty amazing. So when you are creating your own Christian t-shirt business, you want to know what makes you stand out from everybody else. What has God purpose you to do in your Christian t-shirt business? For example, here at Godlywoodgirl, I create t-shirts that empower women of Christ to remember that they are purposed to achieve their greatest destiny for Christ. This James 1: 25 blessed t-shirt is meant to remind you on your journey, especially if you encounter an obstacle on your purpose journey. You can look down and say: “You know what, I'm blessed. I'm highly favored. God purpose me to do this”. Yeah, and keep it moving. That is the point of my Christian t-shirts. So you have to ask yourself, what is the purpose of your Christian t-shirt business? And literally, it's probably going to come from your testimony.
So in my background, when I first started telling people about my dream to be a Christian filmmaker, a lot of people told me that I was going to fail because I was too black, female, and too Christian ever make it. And so from there came this desire to empower women and encourage women on their purpose journey because I know what it feels like to have a dream and have people tell you, you can’t do it. That's where the purpose of my Christian t-shirt business came from. So the purpose of your Christian t-shirt business will probably come from your own testimony. So ask yourself and do deep examination to find out what God purposed you to do with your Christian t-shirt business. Step 2: Product Research
The second step is to do product research. What already exists in your market now that you know exactly what your purpose to do in your Christian t-shirt business? What other businesses out there are purposed to do the same thing? Take a look at their t-shirt businesses and see what is missing. What hole haven't they filled yet that you can fill with your Christian t-shirt business? For example, let's say that for your Christian t-shirt business, you are in the fitness industry, right? God wants you to remind his sons and daughters that: “Listen, you want to have a body like Caleb at 80 okay”? To do that you ought to keep being fit and putting in the work now so that as you age, you can age gracefully and healthily. So maybe that's the problem that your Christian t-shirt business solves. But maybe everybody else who has fitness shirts only has these bulky shirts that aren't cute. So maybe you can be like: “Oh, well do some fitted Christian t-shirts right for my girls who love fitness that reminds them to work out so that they can have a body like Caleb”. So whatever it is, and I'm totally making this up. So don't just take my word for it on that. Do market research, but whatever it is, you can find a hole inside of the market that your Christian t-shirts can fill, but the only way to do that is to do product research.
Step 3: Market Research
Once you understand the hole that your Christian t-shirt business is going to fill, it's now time to do market research. What does your particular audience want you to do for your Christian t-shirt business? And depending on what printer that you choose, you're going to have many different variations and types of shirts and styles that you can create for your business. So you want to ask your audience what they want and then pick the types of shirts they asked you for. If you don't have an audience yet, go ahead and build one first. One of the worst things to do is to create a product and then just try to find people to buy it. You want to create an audience and then create a product that your audience asks you for. Step 4: Create a Brand Board
Once you know what kind of shirts your audience specifically wants from you, go ahead and create a brand board. Create a board that really shows the personality of your Christian t-shirt business, and how you are representing the purpose of your Christian t-shirt business. What colors are you using? What fonts are using? What typefaces are you using? What graphic styles are you using? Check out my video on Christian T-Shirt Logo Design. So you can take a look at the different parameters for really creating a brand board that fits the personality and the purpose of your business.
Step 5: Find Your Printer
The fifth step for how to make shirts to sell online is to research potential printers. There are a lot of print-on-demand companies now, a lot! When I was starting in the streets, it was not as many out here, right. But now there are so many. Take a look at all the print-on-demand companies, you can use Zazzle, Uber prints, Printful, Teelaunch, or Teespring. You can use so many other different ones that I can't even name all of them. There are so many different ones. I personally use Printful, I love Printful, and I adore Printful. That's what I teach in the Godlywoodgirl School of Business. But there are many different other options that you can use. Take a look and research all the different printers, their manufacturing times, their shipping times or inventory costs. You want to make sure that you're getting the best bang for your buck, right. You don't want to spend $15 for a shirt on this company. And then this company charges $12 for the same shirt. You don't want to pay that $15 there's no reason for that. So do your research and decide on your shirt printer.
Step 6: Choose Your Printer
The sixth step is to choose your printer. Make that decision, go all in, and choose your printer. What I want you to do is take a look at the different shirt options that they have and actually create your t-shirt line. This is the best part of the entire process. This is the most fun part, you're going to actually upload your designs to the printer and see your Christian t-shirt business collection come together. It's so exciting. Step 7: Launch Your Shirt.
Finally, the last step of how to make sure it's to sell online is you want to launch your T-shirt business. If you tell somebody about your t-shirt collection one time, that is not marketing. Marketing is putting the right message in front of the right person at the right time that they're looking for. And this requires a launch strategy. People are exposed to thousands upon thousands of marketing messages per day, which means that if you tell them about your Christian t-shirt business once, even though they may be interested, chances are, they're gonna forget. They're going to forget that you got the t-shirt business, they're going to forget that you were looking for them to buy one, they going to forget, because we are very busy people with very busy lives. So you need to have something called a launch strategy.
This is how you're going to systematically tell people about your Christian t-shirt business in a way that provides them value first, and ask them for the sale second. So when you are doing a launch, you want to have at least nine to twelve touchpoints with your potential customers. Nine to twelve sis. That's how many marketing touchpoints it takes for somebody to start recognizing the message that you're trying to give to them. So whether that be you do a live stream or in your Christian t-shirt, and then you do an IG post wearing a Christian t-shirt and then you do a giveaway of your Christian t-shirt. And then you do an influencer marketing campaign for Christian t-shirt and then you do an email marketing campaign for Christian t-shirt and then you do a fashion on YouTube of your Christian t-shirt. Whatever it is have your marketing launch plan planned out, before you throw in the towel and say: “entrepreneurship is too hard. Why am I doing this”? You need to be committed to doing marketing. You spent all this time creating an incredible Christian t-shirt business collection that solves a specific problem, has a specific purpose, and fills a hole in the market. Your Christian t- shirt business is amazing and people need to know about it, but it's your job to tell them so plan out your marketing launch strategy and if you don't know how to do this, get into the Godlywoodgirl School of Business where I teach you how to launch your products sis, step by step.
