HOW TO FIND A TITLE FOR YOUR BOOK (how to write a book series)

If you are looking to learn how to find a title for your book topic, stay tuned to the end of this video because I am going to show you how to find the perfect book title for your book that is searchable.

STEP 1: Identify the Problem Your Book Solves
So, step one is to figure out “what is the problem you solve in your book?” Every single book, just like every single business, needs to be a solution to a problem. Whether the solution is that I’m entertaining you, educating you, motivating you, or inspiring you, your book needs to be clear about the problem it solves.
Even if you are writing a book about your testimony, your testimony is still solving a problem. You are showing people how to overcome the challenge the Lord brought you through. So, you want to get clear on the problem your book is solving.
STEP 2: Identify the Transformation Your Reader Will Have After You Solve Her Problem
Now, you want to get clear on the transformation your reader is going to get after you solve her problem with your book. So for example, if I’m writing a fitness book that shows people how to lose weight, then the problem that I solve is “I help you figure out how to lose weight.” The transformation that you get is “you have the body that you always wanted.” So, you always want to show the result.
After you have solved that problem for your reader, what is her life going to look like? What was her before state? What is her after state? What is the transformation that she now has?
STEP 3: Find a Searchable Keyword People Use to Find Your Book Topic
This step is one of the most important steps. Now that you know the problem you solve as well as the transformation you provide, you have to find a searchable keyword for your book topic. That is when somebody goes to Amazon.com and is looking for a book about the problem you solve, what keyword phrase would they use to find that book? That is what you want to look at.
A great hack to do this is to just go to Amazon.com, sort by the book category, and type the topic of your book. For me, if I’m writing a book about “How to Grow Your Natural Hair,” I might type “How to grow your natural hair” and let Amazon autofill that phrase. Then you can see the top 10 phrases that people are searching about your topic. Go ahead and dive deeper into the book category to see if that phrase is in a number 1 or number 2 spot on those actual book categories.
Now, if you get a searchable keyword phrase that is hitting at number 1, 2, or number 3 spots, sis, that is a really good phrase.
STEP 4: Put It All Together to Create an Epic Book Title
Finally, in step 4, you are going to combine all these pieces into one long, epic, searchable book title, and here is the format that I use.
[Searchable keyword] | (How to get [Transformation you provide] without ever having to deal with [Problem you solve] again.)
I know that this is a super long title, but if you take a look at Amazon Kindle, you will notice that about 64,000 new titles are being added every single month. Not yearly, every month. So, there is a lot of competition on Amazon Kindle. The only way to stand out is to have a searchable keyword title that explains very quickly the problem you solve in your book, and the transformation they are going to get after reading your book.
If you take a look at the top-ranking books inside your category on Amazon, you will see that a lot of them have some pretty lofty titles. This is why. It is one of the easiest ways to quickly communicate in 5 seconds or less what your book is about, why they need it, and the transformation they are going to get.
